How Center’s assistant acts for you: only within the permissions you give it, and with your approval before each action that commits you.

Draft for counsel review. Bracketed notes mark what counsel must complete before this version takes effect.

01What this covers

These terms apply when you use Center’s personal assistant, called Center, to get things done for you: for example finding and booking services, contacting businesses, filling in forms and managing accounts you connect. They add to the Terms of Service and apply once you turn the assistant on. The assistant is in an invite-only beta, so its features may change.

02A limited appointment

You appoint Center as your limited agent to carry out the tasks you ask for, within the permissions you grant and subject to your approval of each action as described below. It does not let Center act for you in any other way. You can end it at any time by turning the assistant off or removing a permission; actions already completed stay completed.

03Your approval before each action

Before Center takes an action that commits you, such as paying, booking, accepting terms, sending a message in your name, sharing your personal information with someone new, or changing or closing an account, it shows you what it is about to do and waits for your yes. Approving one action does not approve any other.

Center can research, compare and prepare drafts without asking, but every action that commits you waits for your yes, each time.

04Permissions and connected accounts

The assistant uses only the accounts and information you connect or share, and only for the tasks you ask for. You can see and remove its permissions at any time; removing one stops its future use.

05Sign-ins, passwords and codes

When a task needs a sign-in, you choose how: keep the password in Center’s secure vault, or sign in yourself when Center asks. Center uses a password or verification code only for the task you approved. A code that arrives on your Center number, or that you forward to Center, is used only for the sign-in or action it belongs to. Keep your devices and email secure, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.

The assistant does not sign in to or act on bank, brokerage, credit card or other financial-account websites. If we offer that later, we will ask for your separate agreement first.

06Websites and services you ask Center to use

When Center acts for you on another company’s website or service, that company’s terms apply to you. You are responsible for making sure you may have an assistant act for you there, and for what you agree to there through an action you approved. Center may decline or stop a task when a site doesn’t allow it or it could put your account at risk.

07People who help

Some tasks may be done or checked by trained people on our team. They work under confidentiality obligations and see only what a task needs.

08Calls, messages and recordings

Center may call or message businesses and other people for you. It says it is acting for you, and identifies itself as an AI assistant when the law requires. Calls Center makes or takes for you may be recorded and transcribed so it can do the task and show you what happened, and Center gives the other side the notices the law requires. People on Center’s team may listen to or join these calls. By using the assistant, you agree that your own calls and conversations with Center may be recorded and transcribed.

09Results

Center works to get you what you ask for, but outcomes depend on other people and companies. We can’t promise that a business will accept a booking, that a price, refund or opening will be as expected, or that information from others is accurate. Check the details that matter to you before you approve.

10Payments you approve

When you approve a payment, you authorize the charge to the payment method you choose. The business or seller you pay is responsible for its goods and services and its refund policy. Any Center fee is shown before you approve.

11Tasks Center may decline

Center may decline, pause or stop a task, for example if it is unlawful or unsafe, could harm someone, breaks a website’s rules, involves a high-risk financial or legal decision, or if we can’t confirm the request is really from you. We tell you when we do.

12Not for emergencies

The assistant is not an emergency service and may not respond right away. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.

13Our responsibility

We carry out the actions you approve with reasonable care. Our responsibility under these terms is limited as described in the Terms of Service, and nothing here limits responsibility the law does not allow us to limit.

14Turning the assistant off

You can turn the assistant off at any time. We may pause it if these terms are broken, or to protect you or others, and we tell you why when we can.
