What information Center collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have.

01Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Center Platform LLC (“Center”, “we”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you use Center’s websites, apps, messaging channels and services (the “Services”): as a visitor, as a customer booking a business, as a business owner or staff member, or as someone who uses Center’s personal assistant.

When a business uses Center to manage its own customers, the business decides how it uses its customers’ information, and we handle that information on the business’s behalf as its service provider. If you are a customer of a business on Center, that business’s privacy policy also applies.

02Information we collect

Information you give us. For example your name, phone number and email; your city or service area and address; preferences, goals and household details you choose to add; the requests, bookings, messages, reviews, photos and files you send; for a business, its details, services, prices, staff and customer records; and what you tell us when you contact us.

Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment processor, Stripe. We receive and keep limited details, such as amounts, the card brand and last four digits, and payout status; full card numbers are handled by Stripe.

Calls, voice and messages. When you talk or text with Center’s AI front desk or assistant, or call a business’s Center number, we receive the conversation. Calls may be recorded and transcribed, and people on Center’s team may listen to or join a call.

Connected accounts. If you connect another service, such as a calendar, an email inbox or an ad account, we receive the information you authorize, for the features you use.

Information collected automatically. Device and connection information (such as IP address, browser and the approximate location it indicates), the pages and features you use, and security logs.

Information from others. Businesses you book with; people who invite or refer you; payment, messaging and identity-verification providers; and, for business pages, public sources such as a business’s website, map listings and social profiles.

03How we use information

We use personal information:

  • to provide the Services you ask for, such as accounts, bookings, payments, messages, websites and the assistant’s tasks;
  • to communicate with you, including service and account messages, and marketing only as the law allows and with any consent it requires;
  • to personalize Center, such as your language and suggestions;
  • to keep Center safe: to verify identity, prevent fraud and abuse, and secure accounts;
  • to understand and improve the Services and develop new features; and
  • to comply with the law, enforce our terms and handle disputes.

We use sensitive personal information, such as sign-in credentials you choose to store or the contents of messages and email you connect, only to provide the Services you request and for the other purposes the law allows, and not to infer characteristics about you.

04AI, calls and recordings

Center uses AI models, including models from third-party providers, to understand requests, draft content, answer calls and messages, and carry out tasks. Those providers process information for us under contracts that limit their use of it to providing their services to us.

Calls with Center’s AI front desk or assistant may be recorded and transcribed. Recordings and transcripts of calls and chats between businesses and consumers are used to coach that business, so it serves its customers better; to learn the consumer’s preferences and match them with the right businesses and services; and for experience improvements to our internal models. Your vault (the sign-in credentials you store with the assistant), payment card data, and the health and minors’ information you keep in Center are not used for this. We also use recordings and transcripts to provide the service, to keep a record for you or the business, and to improve how Center and our team communicate. People on Center’s team may listen to or join a call. Callers hear a notice where the law requires it.

05Improving Center with your conversations

The choice “Improve Center for everyone” is on unless you turn it off. When this is on, Center may use your own conversations with Center (what you text Center and what Center answers you) to improve Center for everyone, for example to test and train the AI models that run Center. It never includes messages from people you trust or anyone else, anything from accounts you connect (like your email, files or calendar) or anything made from them, or anyone under 18. Turn it off anytime: from that moment on, none of your conversations are used for this.

To turn it off, use the “Improve Center for everyone” switch in your Center account’s Settings, or text Center “stop using my chats to improve Center”. Text “what do you use my chats for?” to see what it allows and whether it is on.

Whatever you choose, we never use information from accounts you connect, or anything derived from it, to develop, improve or train AI models (see Information from Google accounts).

06When we share information

  • With businesses you choose. When you book, message or pay a business, we share what that needs, such as your name, contact details and booking details.
  • At your direction. When Center’s assistant acts for you, we share with the websites, businesses and people involved what the task needs and you approved.
  • Service providers. Companies that help us run Center, such as hosting, payment processing, messaging and calling, email, AI and customer support providers, under contracts that limit their use of the information.
  • Partners you choose. If you choose an optional service a partner provides, we share what that service needs.
  • Legal and safety. When the law requires it, or to protect rights, safety and security.
  • Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

07Text messages and your mobile number

We use your mobile number to send the texts you agree to and to honor STOP and HELP. Mobile numbers and opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing. Text-message opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party except the providers that deliver our texts; otherwise we share your number only as described in When we share information. When you opt in, we keep a record of your consent (the words you were shown, their version and language, where you agreed and when) so we can honor and prove your choice. See the Messaging Terms.

08The center.com waitlist

When you leave your number on center.com and tap the button, we keep a record of your consent and of your place on the waitlist:

  • your mobile number;
  • when you tapped, and the language of the page;
  • the exact words shown beside the button, their version and a fingerprint (hash) of them, and the versions and fingerprints of the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy they name;
  • the label of the button you tapped and the address of the page, including any invite code in it;
  • the invite code you arrived with, if any, and which version of the page you saw, if we were testing one;
  • your IP address and the description your browser gives of itself (its user agent);
  • that you passed the security check that protects the form.

We use this record to prove and honor your consent, to keep one place per number and to count sign-ups by invite code. center.com also sets two first-party cookies: one kept for 180 days that marks this device as on the list and holds your own invite code once you have one, and one kept for ten minutes so the page can show you again the text to send, or the number you typed. We use neither for advertising or to follow you on other sites.

09Signing up on Center’s website

When you enter your mobile number on Center’s website and tap the button beside the words that explain what you agree to, that tap is your agreement. There is no box to tick. Before we text you a code, we keep a record of it:

  • your mobile number, and your first name when the form asks for it;
  • when you tapped, and the language of the page;
  • the exact words shown beside the button, their version and a fingerprint (hash) of them, and the versions and fingerprints of the Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy they name;
  • the label of the button you tapped, the address of the page (without anything after a “?”) and which sign-up form it was;
  • your IP address and the description your browser gives of itself (its user agent);
  • whether you passed the security check that protects the form;
  • how Center can reach your number (iMessage, RCS or SMS), which decides the words the form shows, and what those words cover: account texts, marketing, or both;
  • once you enter the code, the Center account the record belongs to.

On iMessage or RCS, continuing past the words beside the button agrees to account updates and offers on that channel. On SMS, the button agrees to account texts only; after the code we ask separately whether you also want check-ins, suggestions and offers by text, and record only a Yes, the same way. If you text Center first, a YES to our question in the conversation is recorded as your agreement to marketing texts, with the exact words you answered and their version. Reply STOP at any time to opt out.

When you set up a business, the step that lists what Center may do for it and how you approve each thing is recorded the same way when you tap its button, with your account and the business it is for. We use these records to prove and honor your agreement. If the record cannot be saved, the sign-up stops and no code is sent.

10Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember choices such as your language, and protect the Services. Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies, but parts of Center may not work without them. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

11Your choices

  • Update your profile and preferences in Center.
  • Opt out of texts by replying STOP, and of marketing email with the unsubscribe link; we may still send service and account messages.
  • Disconnect a connected account at any time.
  • Turn off “Improve Center for everyone” in Settings, or text Center “stop using my chats to improve Center” (see Improving Center with your conversations).
  • Close your account by contacting us.

12Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale, of its sharing for targeted advertising, and of certain profiling. You also have the right not to be treated differently for using these rights.

To make a request, email help@center.com with the subject “Privacy request”. We verify your identity before acting, usually by confirming your phone number or email, and respond within the time the law requires. An authorized agent may make a request for you with proof of your permission. If we deny a request, you can appeal by replying to our decision.

13Notice for California residents

In the past 12 months we collected the following categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above, and disclosed them for business purposes to the recipients described in When we share information:

  • identifiers, such as name, phone number, email, account and device identifiers and IP address;
  • customer records, such as address and the payment details our processor keeps;
  • commercial information, such as bookings, purchases and payments;
  • internet or network activity, such as use of the Services and logs;
  • approximate geolocation;
  • audio and electronic information, such as call recordings, voice notes and photos;
  • professional information, such as business details for business users;
  • inferences, such as preferences used to personalize suggestions; and
  • sensitive personal information: sign-in credentials you choose to store with the assistant, and the contents of messages and email you connect.

We do not sell or share personal information as California law defines those terms, and we do not knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.

14How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. For example: account information while your account is open and for a limited time after it closes; booking and payment records for as long as tax, accounting and financial laws require; consent records for as long as we rely on the consent and need to prove it; the IP address a sign-up on a business’s Center website came from for 13 months; and connected-account data only as long as the feature that uses it requires, unless you or the business delete it sooner. We keep call recordings, call transcripts and the text messages and chats you exchange through Center indefinitely. When we no longer need information, we delete or de-identify it.

15Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, such as encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we notify you as the law requires.

16Children

Center is not for children. Accounts are for adults 18 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you add information about your child to coordinate a family plan or booking, you confirm that you are their parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

17Where we process information

Center is based in the United States and stores information there. Our team and service providers, including Center operators in the Philippines who help with calls and tasks, may access and process it from other countries under this policy.

18Information from Google accounts

If you connect a Google account, Center’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, and the Google Workspace API user data and developer policy. We use that information only to provide the features you turn on, and people at Center read it only with your permission, for security, or as the law requires.

19Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We post each version with its date and, for a material change, notify you in advance by email or in Center. We ask for your consent before using personal information for a new purpose that requires it.
